Bragging Rights : Semi-finalist, Red Cathedral North American Invitational 2023. Also named one of Vegas, Inc.’s 40 Under 40 in 2021 (the board-game résumé is still catching up to the day-job one).

Number of Years Competing : 2026 makes year four. At this point it’s less “hobby” and more “expensive personality trait.”

Favorite Game : Ark Nova… no wait, Dominant Species… actually Castles of Burgundy… you know what, if it comes in a box, let's just play!

Game that got me Hooked : 7 Wonders. One draft later and suddenly I had opinions about science cards and a concerning need for more cardboard.

Why I wanted to come to WSBG : Originally: “compete against the best.” Currently: “these are my people and I will fight (politely) for a ring.”

Biggest Board Game Nemesis : We're all friends here, unless you leave me in the dust, and then I need a rematch!

Biggest Game tip : Have a plan. Then immediately prepare to set that plan on fire. Most games will punish pure tunnel vision with one random event or a well-timed opponent pivot. The winners are the ones who can rewrite the plan mid-turn without crying (on the outside).

For those on the fence I would say : Come while this thing is still young and the legends are still being written. You’ll leave with sharper skills, a group chat full of people who actually want to play with you year-round, and possibly a ring. The competition is real. The community is better. You’ll level up faster here than almost anywhere else.
