PLAYING Star Wars: Rebellion
SATURDAY SEPT. 21 STARTING AT 12 Noon & SUNDAY, SEPT. 22 Continued
Star Wars Rebellion will be played using the base game’s Advanced setup rules (Page 18 in the Learn to Play rulebook) with Action cards. The “Beginner” setup and the “Rise of the Empire” expansion may not be used.
Faction selection will be determined by bidding Rebel Influence for the opportunity to play as the Empire, as outlined below.
1. Randomly determine starting world loyalty using the procedure outlined in the Advanced setup rules.
2. Both players will roll 3 dice as if rolling for an opposed mission. The player with the most successes wins the first bid. Re-roll ties.
3. The winning player bids to play as the Empire. Bids must be whole numbers. A bid of 1 means that the bidding player will play as the Empire, and the Rebel player starts the game 1 space lower on the Rebel Influence track (space 13 instead of 14). Their opponent has the option to bid a higher number or pass. They continue alternating bids until one player passes. Negative bids (opting to play the Empire with Rebel track starting higher, on space 15) are allowed.
4. Proceed with normal setup.
